Ningen Kakumei episodes 06-10 batch + TL notes

Episode 6 notes: Vessel for manifestation of Buddha's true self  - actually, "発迹顕本" is another heavily loaded concept from Buddhism. Fully expanded, it amounts to something like "Casting off the transient body and revealing the true self of the original Buddha." The meaning of this passage is that Buddha lives in anyone, and through piety anyone is able to reveal traces of Buddha in himself - anytime, anywhere, even with a mortal body. More  here .            Another context-heavy scene. At least the show made an effort to make it clear what's going on, and I resounded that effort without resorting to \an8 TL notes. The guy here refers to the word 正しい / tadashi = correct, hence he wants to name the magazine "正教 / seikyo" = orthodox (literally "correct faith"). Toda, however, mistakes it for another "seikyo," namely "聖教 / seikyo" = Sacred Teachings (literally "saint faith"). And that's how they end up nami...

Choubakumatsu Shounen Seiki Takamaru / Bakumatsu Era Super Boy Takamaru / 超幕末少年世紀タカマル OVA (1991) + Shin / New Takamaru OVA (1992) [LDRip AVC MP3]

Name Contribution PPP-Raw (non-domesday LD rips) Raws Perevodildo Translation & typesetting True Noobow Gamer Quality check This torrent includes both the original  1991 2-episode OVA  and the “Shin”  1992 6-episode sequel . It was as painfully mid as it can get. Our QC nominated it as our worst project yet. All the characters’ names are puns or jokes in some other way: Fukuda Fukutaro (Japan’s Foreign Affairs Vice-Minister) has the same word in his name and surname, and that word means “Vice-Minister” Kibo Takamaru {希望 タカマル}—name means “increasing hope” Takamaru’s Father Kibo Koen {タカマルの父 希望 公園}—name means “supporting hope” King of Champon Kingdom—Zako Takanokami Kaodeka {ちゃんぽん王国国王 座高タカノカミ カオデカ}—“King” is spelled as reversed “Kingdom,” zako means “small fry,” takanokami means “high god;” kaodeka means “big face” Kirameku Mirai—means “glistening future” Kirameku Zugai—means “glistening skull” (he is bald) Yumega Al Zaemon {夢我アル佐ェ門}—means “at least have dreams” Yumega ...

[Blasphemboys] Papa Mama Bye Bye / パパ ママ バイバイ Movie (1984) [DVDRip AVC AC3]

RAW: UCCUSS DVD rip (encoded from WoH’s DVD) (or is it a remux?) Translation: Perevodildo Quality check: True Noobow Gamer An RF-4B Phantom II stationed in Japan  crashed  into a residential area in Yokohama in 1977, resulting in 3 fatalities and 6 injuries. That seemingly unremarkable incident that would hardly otherwise be seen as anything more than a 6-minute long youtube disaster documentary material, spawned a picture book in 1979, this movie in 1984, and finally, a statue erected on the site in 1985. Without trying to sound disrespectful to the victims, I’ve seen rowdy drinking incidents that were both more dramatic and deadly than this, yet never went out of their way to make you waste an hour of your time watching the victims live their painfully mundane lives, completely devoid of any features or events that’d make spending your time with them any justifiable, only to show you the disaster in question in the last 10 minutes. This show is like Natsu...

Otohime Connection / Princess Connection / 乙姫CONNECTION OVA (1991) [LDRip AVC MP3]

RAW: Piyo Piyo Productions non-domesday LD rip. I would’ve preferred to use the video from Yaoi801’s Italian fansub release because it looks better from sheer bitrate, but sadly they hardsubbed it. Translation: Perevodildo Thusly: True Noobow Gamer It’s another one of those show produced solely to advertise new CD releases of the bands popular at the time that feels more like a music video than an anime, like Eiji / Nineteen I’ve done before. Of the 9 songs featured here (AniDB list is wrong btw, the last two songs from it aren’t in this show), all except for  Endless Rain by X Japan  are totally forgettable, and two from the album  Kanjiteruno  by Pliːz are so elusive that they have neither any lyrics nor recordings online. One I could fill in by ear, but the other was completely indecipherable and is the translation is 90% made up. You you ever come across that CD and it happens to have a lyrics booklet included, a .v2 may be on the cards, but is it really wo...

Hidari no O`Clock / Left O'Clock / 左のオクロック!! OVA (1990) [LDRip AVC MP3]

RAW:  PPP-Raw ’s non-domesday LD rip (I have no idea why he had chosen mp3 for the audio). Translation: Perevodildo Editing: Paul Geromini Quality check: thusly The story is subdivided into 4 chapters (2 per episode): Departure {旅立ち} Beginner’s Luck {ビギナーズ・ラック} Peace Commemoration {V(ピース)記念日} Gamma Express {Γ(ガンマ)・エキスプレス} TL notes: I have no idea why, but Moe uses “cc” (cubical centimeters) to measure blood volume instead of simply saying “ml.” Some fragments of the insert song in episode 2 are left untranslated because not all of this song was in episode 1 and surely enough there are no traces of it on the internet, not even of the full track without the dialogue on top, let alone any lyrics. Because of course there isn’t. AniDB  |  DDL  |  Subs only  |  Boosty

Ikkyuu-san: Haru Da! Yancha Hime / It's Spring! Mischievous Princess / 一休さん 春だ!やんちゃ姫 Movie (1981)

Completely forgot to post it lol. Blasphemboys present the first (to my knowledge) English-subtitled version of the 1981 Movie spinoff of the Ikkyuu-san series, the last of the movies in the franchise. RAW: FemboyFilms 16mm film restoration. It’s sad that Femboy Films is no more, I really liked their femboy energy and I feel that we’d have a lot in common. 😔 Translation & TS: Tonsuredildo Editing: head monk Paul Geromini-san Quality check: True Princess Gamer Yes, it’s a 12gb file for a 15-minute film. We’ll release the rest of Ikkyuu-san tomorrow, stay tuned. AniDB   |   Subs only  | Find it on nyaa
