This is a post about an old release for archiving purposes, the TL notes are the same as before.

While I rejected it strongly, I have {jokingly or not} suggested for infamous Helena Halestrom, who was also present, to give it a shot, because an old big-eyed shoujo title looked straight up her alley. Helena was not interested as well, although for reasons different from mine. It evidently caught the attention of alucardnoyuutsu though, hence here we are today. To be frank, I rolled pretty hard over Alu's script for ep1, due to, again, my becoming excessively picky when not actually translating, but TLCing. Did I tell you I hate to TLC yet? :^) For the rest of the series, I'm only doing timings and signs, maybe sometimes intricate puns, making sure you know whenever a book titled "Haikara-san ga tooru" appears on-screen and man it does a lot. The ED part is also half-mine, half-LiveEvil's. Oh, about that, pretty sure L-E have more episodes than 1 in their secret bunker ~~lying since 2017 until they find an encoder or something~~, but well, apparently, we couldn't wait for another ~~10 years~~ heat death of the universe. You snooze, you lose ~~Lucy-May, huh~~I can certainly see why it enjoys such a high demand, or even considered revolutionary, as well as how Haikara-san can be at times charming, hilarious and salubrious, also with a rousing OP. But.They may have not been so corny and overused by the standards of 70s anime, but with all those decrepit later titles behind me, the contrivances from here feel so hackneyed, I just can't help getting a deja vu. Haikara-san is a glorious brass statue with a shining bulge, polished by years of tourists' stroking: while I can't help respecting its endurance and attraction qualities, it just feels too banal a move to follow the lead and give it a stroke myself. Well, either way, it was enough to dissuade me from getting more involved in the subbing process beyond what I can do with my eyes closed. Even though Haikara-san utilizes a rather simple lexis {aside from when a pun is intended} and follows the manga {which alu is already using} closely enough.Plus, I avoid series that are in the scope of official licensees, with chances of it getting translated by amazon/discotek/you_name_it approximating 0.99, considering it has already received a BD release in Japan — unironically, I wrote this jinx in September 2022 just so that in October, Discotek would license AWN some month after my release. And, if you believe the actual animation looks as supercalifragilisticexpialidocious as the poster, I have a Brooklyn Bridge to sell to you. But eventually, it's a good show with superb visuals for 70 nevertheless, and its own style that you can distinct at first glance.Anyways, the whole point of this paragraph is, I signed out as TLC, only doing timings and signs from episode 2 on, not even for the clout of subbing what seems to be the second most requested series ever after Kyojin no Hoshi. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯The fuck is this description lmao.As much as I would have liked to, the ginormous file sizes of over 2gb per episode won't allow for a conventional ddl link. You can still [get the .ass files separately though](https://github.com/Perevodildo/Perevodildo-softsubs/tree/master/Haikara-san%20ga%20Tooru).
